Wu Nai-jen reportedly only willing to repay NT$50,000 per month, NT$170 million owed to Taiwan Sugar Corporation | TVBS News reporter Lin You-xuan

News link:https://youtu.be/-Klq2D4Oh10?si=N7z8tzshU7TOQUBg

Wu Nai-jen, former chairman of Taiwan Sugar Corporation, owed NT$170 million. He was released after only 12 days of court-ordered detention. However, the first phase of debt negotiations with Taiwan Sugar has broken down. Kuomintang legislator Wang Hung-wei pointed out that the reason is Wu Nai-jen's proposal of "paying NT$50,000 per month," which, according to calculations, would take 300 years to repay. In response, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has stated firmly that if Wu Nai-jen still shows no sincerity in the second round of negotiations, it will not rule out filing for detention again.

Li Yusheng, a lawyer at Fidelity Law Firm, stated that if a creditor believes that a debtor has assets to repay the debt but is delaying repayment in various other ways, the creditor can petition the court to seize the debtor's assets, thereby using this coercive measure to compel the debtor to repay the debt. Alternatively, the creditor can continue the enforcement proceedings to locate and seize the debtor's assets.

Fuda Law Firm

Line：https://line.me/ti/p/@fdlaw

Tel: 0277093611

Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/fudalawyer

website:https://fdlaw.com.tw/

e-mail:info@fdlaw.com.tw

News Headline: Waiting 300 Years?
