In July this year, Huang Weizhen, a police officer from the Sanchong Houde Police Station, was tragically hit by a drugged driver in the opposite direction while on duty, and ultimately died of his injuries. The New Taipei City Police Department immediately promised that it would fully assist with the pension matter. However, a member of Congress broke the news and pointed out that the police department delayed for more than two months after the incident before submitting the pension information to the central government, seriously neglecting the grassroots police officers.
