This was actually a psychological tactic used by the prosecution to tell other detained defendants that &quot;if they are willing to plead guilty, they will have the opportunity to be released on bail.&quot; As for Ko Wen-je, chairman of the Taiwan People&#039;s Party, his detention extension hearing is scheduled for October 31st, and the case review hearing is two days apart from the opening hearing.
