He allegedly hid his phone in his bag and took upskirt photos of women. The victim&#039;s boyfriend discovered the act and immediately stopped him. The suspect hurriedly fled towards Eslite Bookstore, but was stopped by police officers on patrol. Police investigation revealed that the suspect had been loitering in the vicinity before the crime and that his phone contained more than 600 private photos of other women. When caught taking upskirt photos, he appeared to try to delete the photos. Du refused to admit his crime and claimed that all the indecent photos were taken accidentally by pressing the camera button. It is understood that he has no prior record of upskirt photography. Now that the evidence has been exposed, the police will arrest the man on charges of violating privacy laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Attorney Li Yusheng of Fidelity Law Firm stated that the suspect in this case, by using tools or equipment without cause to spy on or secretly photograph the private parts of others&#039; bodies, is committing the crime of violating privacy under the Criminal Code. This carries a penalty of up to three years imprisonment, detention, or a fine of up to NT$300,000.
