Dissatisfied with being cheated out of his stock investments by a friend, he colluded with Huang Tzu-hsiang, a police officer at the Nangang Precinct, to investigate his personal information and collect debts. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office launched a search and questioning operation yesterday (5th). After questioning, they believed that Huang Tzu-hsiang was a major suspect and that his detention was necessary, so they applied to the court for his detention and prohibition of visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Attorney Hsu Wan-wei of Fidelity Law Firm stated that police officers who abuse their positions to assist in obtaining and collecting citizens&#039; personal information may be committing the crime of infringing on personal data, which is punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to one million NT dollars. As for the police officers and suspects going to hotels, this constitutes a violation of public service discipline and will be subject to administrative penalties.
