Attorney Li Yu-sheng of Fidelity Law Firm stated that using AI to swap faces or create indecent images constitutes the crime of "creating false sexual images" under the Criminal Code, which carries a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment. If the victim is a minor, it also violates the Child and Youth Sexual Exploitation Prevention Act, which carries a maximum penalty of seven years imprisonment.
