He ordered a mouse from a well-known South Korean e-commerce platform that boasts &quot;lightning-fast logistics,&quot; but when the package arrived, he found the mouse in a resealable bag containing an unidentified powder that looked like salt. Fearing it might be contraband, the man was too scared to touch it. After contacting the e-commerce platform&#039;s customer service, he received a NT$200 refund, but was then told to carefully pack the item and return it. The way the platform handled the situation left him dumbfounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Lawyer Liu Yiling of Fidelity Law Firm stated that if a consumer uses fraudulent means to switch out a product during the online shopping period and return it, keeping the original product for themselves, the store may be guilty of aggravated fraud under the Criminal Code, which carries a sentence of not less than one year and not more than seven years and a fine of not more than NT$1 million.
