The New Taipei City Prosecutors Office is investigating the artist Shan Bing case and has launched a third wave of searches, including the arrest of artist Xiu Jie Kai, "Da Ren Ge" Chen Bolin, Lollipop member Liao Yunjie, and Energy member Zhang Shuwei. Chen Bolin and Zhang Shuwei both said at the time of arrest that they wished they had known this day would come. Another Energy member, Kun Da, is currently in Canada and has not yet been arrested. After questioning, except for artist Liao Yunjie who was released on bail of NT$350,000, the other three were released on bail of NT$500,000 pending trial.
Attorney Li Yusheng of Fidelity Law Offices stated that the evasion of military service in this case is a group crime, and it is not ruled out that Chen Bolin's involvement was already discovered during the investigation of Wang Dalu's case. According to the Act on the Punishment of Obstructing Military Service, if false information is produced in an improper manner to evade military service, it may involve the crime of forgery of documents and the crime of obstructing military service, the most important of which is a fixed-term imprisonment of not more than five years. However, since there is usually a chance of obtaining a fine or suspended sentence if one pleads guilty, some people will still take risks in an attempt to evade military service.
