Liu Yiling, a lawyer from Fidelity Law Firm, was invited to talk about "Lao Ji "Legal Practice and Cases", which uses examples to illustrate the legal protection of labor, enhances faculty members' awareness of the "Labor Standards Act", and thereby protects their own rights and interests. More than 90 faculty colleagues participated in the event, and the Taipei and Lanyang campuses were video-conferenced simultaneously.

"A labor contract refers to a contract that stipulates a labor-employer relationship and is subordination." Liu Yiling started from the provisions of the Labor Standards Law and explained the various subordination characteristics of workers, such as: having personality, working for the purpose of others, and being subject to the supervision of the public institution. Control and restraint, division of labor and cooperation with colleagues, abide by the service discipline of the unit, and accept rewards and punishments, etc.; she took the delivery platform as an example. The delivery personnel’s motorcycles will be equipped with the platform’s delivery boxes, and they must follow the platform’s instructions to receive the goods. Shanbin divides labor with other delivery partners, thus forming a labor contract relationship.

The purpose of the Labor Standards Law is to stipulate minimum standards for working conditions and protect workers' rights and interests. Liu Yiling explained that the definition of wages is "remuneration received by workers for their work." If it is "labor consideration" and is of a "regularly given" nature, Whether it is in the name of allowances or bonuses, they all fall under the definition of "salary" under the Labor Standards Law, such as performance bonuses and attendance bonuses.

In order to construct employees' specific concept of "severance", Liu Yiling said that employers must be objective and reasonable in judging employees' job competency, provide reasonable opportunities for improvement, provide education and training, and arrange more appropriate positions. If employees cannot achieve performance for many years, According to the standards, the employee should be moved to a suitable position according to his or her ability; if the supervisor believes that the employee's attitude is not good, it cannot be a reason for dismissal and requires objective evidence.

The speech was rich in content. The employees listened carefully and asked questions, deepening each other's concepts of the Labor Standards Law and understanding the labor rights protected by the law. Li Cailing, leader of the management planning group, believed that the speaker’s speech was clear and the content was easy to understand. He gave appropriate responses to questions raised by colleagues and gained a lot from the course.
