A heated scene erupted on a MRT train! Priority seats, now designated as "priority seats," were not required to be given up. A young passenger was repeatedly pushed and shoved by a white-haired woman using her bag, forcing her to give up her seat. The young passenger then stood up and kicked the woman, sending her flying.

Li Yusheng, an attorney at Fidelity Law Firm, stated that in this case, the elderly woman initially struck the seated passenger twice with the bag. If the passenger's retaliatory action was intended to avoid unlawful assault, it would legally constitute legitimate self-defense and not be punishable. However, if the defensive action was excessive, or if the kick was intended to attack the elderly woman, and if she was injured, criminal liability for assault could still apply.
