Some people saw a Facebook ad advertising delicious mullet roe and excitedly spent NT$1,290 to buy it online, only to find out that it was 13 packs of sweet potato chips that "looked very similar." This is clearly a scam! We remind you to keep a screenshot of the ad and record a video when you open the box as evidence.

Attorney Li Yu-sheng of Fidelity Law Firm stated that consumers encountering such situations can file complaints with the consumer service centers in their respective counties and cities, or with the Executive Yuan Consumer Protection Association. If they suspect online fraud, they can report the case to the police or the district prosecutor's office, and also report it to platforms such as Facebook. Regarding self-protection, consumers should be extremely careful: Beforehand, try to choose reputable platforms and verify the seller's detailed information; afterwards, immediately preserve evidence such as advertisement screenshots, transaction records, and product photos; if problems are discovered, immediately initiate the complaint process to avoid being taken advantage of.
