Recently, a bakery in Linkou was spotted trying to recreate the iconic Sanrio character Cinnamoroll from Japan by making a cake. However, the result was a far cry from the real Cinnamoroll. Compared to the authentic Cinnamoroll, the baker's cake had uneven butter spread, droopy ears, an overly long and crooked mouth, and was named "Big White Dog." This has led to questions about whether the cake was intentionally made ugly and whether the name was intended to circumvent copyright. When interviewed, the owner clarified that the uglier the cake, the more customers love it!

Lawyer Li Yusheng of Fidelity Law Firm stated that although the cakes made by the store have different names and their shapes differ from the original Cinnamoroll, if the main features are similar, making it easy for ordinary consumers to associate them with Cinnamoroll or mistakenly believe that there is a collaborative relationship with the original company, there may be concerns about copyright and trademark infringement as well as violations of the Fair Trade Act.
