Chen Yijun, a Taipei City Councilor from the Democratic Progressive Party, was accused of using "human heads" to defraud NT$3 million in assistant fees. On the 12th, prosecutors and investigators searched 13 locations including Chen Yijun's local service offices and residences. After an overnight interrogation, Chen Yijun and her office director surnamed Zhang were arrested in court and requested to be detained. The trial began at 3:30 p.m. The judge believed that Director Zhang was seriously suspected and ruled to detain him without contact with anyone. As for Chen Yijun, she was given a bail of NT$1 million and her residence was restricted.

Attorney Li Yusheng of Fidelity Law Offices said that since the prosecutors have already conducted a large-scale search for cases such as the one involving Councillor Chen Yijun who defrauded assistant fees, they should have relatively clear evidence. Since the councillor should have cooperated with the investigation and had a good attitude, and the main evidence may have been collected, the judge granted bail, but there are still restrictions on his exit from the country and residence to prevent him from fleeing.
