A man in Bei City recently drove a friend's Lamborghini on the road after drinking. However, he was stopped by the police while driving on a double yellow line. Not only did he refuse to cooperate with the alcohol test, he even said that the mineral water provided by the police was alcohol. The police officer was so helpless that he sighed frequently; the lawyer said that although refusing to take the test will not leave a criminal record, it will not be lighter than the administrative liability for drunk driving, and may be relatively heavier.
Reporter Yang Xinyi: "A few days ago, this man not only drove a friend's car after drinking, he even drove on the double yellow line. Even though he was stopped by the police, he refused to cooperate with the alcohol test and the vehicle was seized on the spot."
A friend's Lamborghini roadster was suspended and towed by a crane to the storage yard
I saw that the entire car was suspended, put on a tow truck and moved to the storage yard. It took so much trouble because it was a Lamborghini roadster.
This Maverick has a 5.2-liter V10 engine with a maximum horsepower of 560 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 in just 4 seconds. The price of a new car is about 16 million, but the driver seems to be pretending to be crazy and not taking a sobriety test because he does not want to have a criminal record.
Li Yusheng, a lawyer not involved in the party: "(Drunk driving refusal) The first offender will be fined NT$180,000, the vehicle will be moved on the spot, and the driver's license will be revoked and will not be retested for 3 years. If it is a repeat offender, the fine will be doubled. And there is no upper limit on the cumulative amount, so the administrative liability for refusing to take a breathalyzer test will not be lighter than for drunk driving, and may even be heavier."
