Lin Po-shih, president of Taiwan Glass Group, is suspected of using false equity transfers to evade the enforcement of judgments on the equity of his subsidiary. After being reported by the company's shareholders, the Shilin District Prosecutors Office investigated and indicted him yesterday (17th) for the crime of making false documents in the course of business.

Attorney Liu Yiling of Fidelity Law Firm stated that in order to avoid the enforcement of his company shares, the perpetrator created false documents and transferred the shares to his family through a fraudulent transaction. This constitutes the crime of forgery of documents and the crime of submitting false business documents. He may also be guilty of damaging creditor's rights. According to the law, he is subject to imprisonment of up to three years, detention, or a fine of up to 15,000 yuan.
