Continuing to track this outrageous prank on the sesame oil chicken chain, after arresting three suspects, the police discovered that they claimed not to know each other and their statements were all different, yet they were able to intimidate 10 branches at the same time using the same method, which seemed to be premeditated. In response, employees of Zhuangjiaban Sesame Oil Chicken privately revealed that it was possible that the boss had a dispute with someone, which led to the retaliation.

Lawyer Li Yusheng of Fidelity Law Firm stated that preliminary understanding indicates the substance added by the suspect is edible. The suspect may have intended to argue that it wouldn't cause food safety issues, but in reality, businesses cannot afford to risk food safety by continuing to sell such products. Therefore, the suspect's actions still constitute the crime of property damage. This behavior would obviously cause panic among businesses and even consumers, and may also constitute the crime of intimidation and endangering safety under criminal law. Given that the same incidents occurred at different businesses within a very short period, and considering that the suspects' phones were found to be clean after their arrest, there is ample reason to suspect that this was a premeditated crime.
