KMT LegislatorMa Wenjun, the suspicion of submarine leaks has not yet faded away, yesterday (12/5) it was revealed by Mirror Weekly that her 700-square-meter luxury manor in Puli was built on state-owned farmland, and it was an illegally built farmhouse without applying for a building permit. Ma Wenjun rented state-owned land illegally without being a farmer, and rented state-owned land at an ultra-low price of 6,400 yuan per month. Ma Wenjun claimed that there are no big farmhouses here, only an old 40-square-meter wooden house left by his father, with a current value of only 70,000 yuan. For all legal tenants, if the rent is paid truthfully, an application for license renewal will be made.

Lawyer Zhang Kaixin from Fidelity Law Firm said: The Property Declaration Law for Public Officials only punishes "intentional false declarations." If the property declaration error is just a clerical error, it may only be revised and adjusted. However, if a mistake is made intentionally to avoid property declaration or to conceal property, it may be considered as violating the law by making false declarations, and a fine of not less than NT$200,000 but not more than NT$4 million will be imposed.
