In 2022, political commentator Chu Hsueh-heng was convicted of indecent assault and sentenced to 11 months in prison for forcibly kissing Taipei City Councilor Chung Pei-chun during a dinner party. He was admitted to prison early on January 24 this year. His original scheduled release date was December 23.
