Yesterday afternoon (29th), a man suddenly roared loudly in a carriage on the Taipei Metro Wenhu Line, forcing a pregnant woman to give up her priority seat, which frightened the surrounding passengers. Fortunately, after the train arrived at the station, security guards immediately took the man off the train. In another incident, at the Taipei Sheraton Hotel, a woman broke into the 17th-floor VIP lounge. When the police arrived, she claimed to be the general manager and made a scene.

Attorney Hsu Wan-wei of Fidelity Law Firm stated that acts of disrupting public order under the Social Order Maintenance Act are not limited to public places; disturbing residents or businesses also falls within the scope of the regulations. In this case, the person trespassed into the hotel's closed executive VIP lounge area without cause and refused to heed warnings. According to the Social Order Maintenance Act, this constitutes harassment within a business premises, and therefore, was fined NT$2,000 (suspended payment).
